1. Our Commitment
OralMinoxidilOnline.com, a service of Midwest Mind & Body Healthcare, is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. We view accessibility as a central part of clinical access: if you cannot use the website, you cannot reach the care. Because this service is delivered entirely online, that is especially true here — the intake form is the front door to treatment.
2. Standards We Follow
This website aims to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard most widely recognized under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, and the accessibility statutes of the states where we provide care.
3. Measures We Take
- Semantic structure. We use proper HTML landmarks, headings, lists, and form labels so that screen readers can present pages in a logical order.
- Alternative text. Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked as such so they do not clutter the screen-reader experience.
- Keyboard navigation. Interactive elements — navigation, the mobile menu, buttons, the intake form, and the intake dialog — can be operated with a keyboard alone, and a skip link is available at the top of this page.
- Color contrast. Body text, headings, and interactive elements are chosen to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components).
- Responsive and zoomable. Pages reflow and remain usable at 200% browser zoom and on small screens, without horizontal scrolling.
- Readable typography. We use two established typefaces (Inter for body text, Space Grotesk for headings) at sizes and line-heights appropriate for comfortable reading.
- Motion. Nothing on this site auto-plays, flashes, scrolls on its own, or moves without your input. Transitions are limited to brief hover and focus effects, and the site honors the operating-system
prefers-reduced-motionsetting: when it is enabled, those transitions and smooth scrolling are switched off. - Forms and errors. Every intake field has a visible, programmatically associated label. Required fields are marked, helper text explains the less obvious questions, and validation messages identify the field and what to fix.
- Focus visibility. Form fields show a distinct border color when focused, and browser default focus indicators are preserved elsewhere so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.
- Language. The page language is declared in the HTML so screen readers pronounce content correctly.
- Plain language. We explain off-label prescribing, dosing, and cost in plain terms rather than clinical shorthand, and we avoid conveying information by color alone.
4. Assistive Technologies Supported
We test our pages against current versions of commonly used assistive technologies, including:
- Screen readers: NVDA and JAWS (on Windows), VoiceOver (on macOS and iOS), TalkBack (on Android).
- Modern desktop and mobile browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
- Zoom and magnification tools built into modern operating systems and browsers.
- Voice control technologies such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Voice Control on macOS/iOS.
5. Known Limitations
We work hard to keep the site accessible, but some gaps can exist from time to time. If you encounter one of the following, please let us know and we will work to resolve it:
- Third-party services. Parts of the process are hosted by vendors we do not control — the payment authorization and checkout provided by Stripe, and the e-signature and consent documents you complete before a prescription is issued. We select accessible vendors where possible and ask them to remediate issues we report. If any of those steps is a barrier for you, we will complete it with you by phone instead.
- PDF and printed documents. Consent forms, good-faith estimates, and other documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible alternative — plain text, large print, or a read-aloud walkthrough by phone — on request and at no cost.
- Older pages. We add and update state-specific pages regularly. Newer pages receive an accessibility check before publication; if you find an older page that falls short, tell us and we will prioritize it.
6. Accommodations for Care
Beyond the website, we accommodate patients with disabilities in our clinical services. This includes, at no cost to the patient and to the extent permitted by law:
- Help completing the intake. If the online form is difficult or impossible for you to use, call us and we will take your intake information over the phone.
- Accessible consent and payment. If the e-signature or Stripe authorization step is not usable with your assistive technology, we will walk you through it by phone or provide the documents in an alternative format.
- Alternative formats. Large-print or plain-text copies of our intake questions, consent forms, and this statement.
- Effective communication. Communication by your preferred channel — phone, email, or written message — including qualified interpreter services for a scheduled phone follow-up, arranged in advance on request.
- Support persons. A family member, caregiver, or legal representative may assist you, with your authorization on file.
- Extra time. Additional time for follow-up questions when needed to ensure you understand the treatment, its risks, and the alternatives.
Please tell us about any accommodation you need when you submit your intake, or by contacting us at the details below, so we can arrange it in advance.
7. Nondiscrimination & Language Access
We comply with applicable federal civil-rights laws and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex — including sex characteristics, sexual orientation, gender identity, and pregnancy or related conditions. We do not exclude people or treat them differently on any of these bases.
To the extent required by law, and as a matter of practice regardless:
- Free auxiliary aids and services for people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, including qualified interpreters and written information in other formats (large print, plain text, accessible electronic formats).
- Free language-assistance services for people whose primary language is not English, including qualified interpreters and information written in other languages.
These services are provided at no cost to you. To request one, contact us using the details in Section 8. Please ask when you submit your intake, if you can, so we can arrange it before your review.
If you believe we have failed to provide these services or have discriminated against you, you may file a grievance with our Accessibility Coordinator, or file a civil-rights complaint directly with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights, at ocrportal.hhs.gov, by mail at 200 Independence Avenue SW, Room 509F, HHH Building, Washington, DC 20201, or by phone at 1-800-368-1019 (TDD 1-800-537-7697). You are not required to come to us first, and we will not retaliate against you for filing.

It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what browser or assistive technology you were using — but please report the problem even if you do not have those details.
9. Formal Complaints
If we cannot resolve your concern informally, you may file a complaint with the United States Department of Justice, which enforces Title III of the ADA as applied to places of public accommodation, including healthcare providers. You may also contact the civil-rights office of your state's attorney general. Contacting us first is not required, but it usually produces faster results.

10. Ongoing Work
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review new pages before they go live, we audit the full site periodically, and we treat user-reported barriers as high-priority fixes. If the standards above are updated or superseded (for example, when WCAG 2.2 or 3.0 becomes the generally accepted benchmark), we will update this statement and the site accordingly.
